The idea behind this painting was to create a contrast of colors – the dull colors of the inside and then this vibrant, mystical world outside where there’s so much more. It was also a good opportunity to test my new watercolor set, that I recently upgraded to. Though small, it was worth spending the extra dollars on! I mean, look at how those colors scan, in comparison to my previous paintings!
Aside from painting, over the next few weeks I will be working on a little project called ‘Operation: Crow’s Makeover’ – where I’m just basically FINALLY getting around to designing and creating new art for all the sites I’m on: logos, covers, etc. It’s going to be somewhat of a slow process, just because my schedule is getting tighter with the increasing events and projects I’m taking on in my growing as an artist. So far I think I’m off to a good start with the designing of my image header. Designing was easy, but making it fit for each and every site I’m on, without destroying the quality, was so time-consuming! Next will be the logo, I have an idea of how I want it to look, and I hope it turns out well. Wish me luck!
